Nd: YAG and Nd: YVO
Nd: YAG and Nd: YVO crystal lasers are solid state lasers. They are comprised of a mineral structure. Each of the two lasers is made up of different minerals and is used for different applications. Both lasers are diode pump lasers. The lasers are made by thrusting a solid, like neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet, or neodymium-doped yttrium ortho–vanadate. Nd: YAG lasers are used in all types of applications including dentistry, and ocular surgical use. While these two minerals are different they have very similar properties.
